Greetings
Calvary Chapel West Tokyo was founded in 1988 in Nishitokyo City , by Pastor
Kaoru Kohama. Our church is part of the movement of Calvary Chapel Fellowship
churches which began on the West Coast of the United States.
Calvary Chapel U.S.A. is non-denominational,
but it has more than 800 fellowship churches in the U.S., and more than 300
around the world. It is one of the most
trusted churches, well known for teaching the Bible as it is.
We
are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such,
only to their overemphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the
division of the Body of Christ.
We
believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's Agape love,
which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no
right to claim ourselves Christians.

Access
Access to our church from Narita
Airport
1. By Train (Narita Express)
Take JR Narita Express for Shinjuku or Ikebukuro, the center of Tokyo via
Tokyo station from Narita Airport. Get off the train at Shinjuku station and transfer to JR Yamanote Line
and get off at Takadanobaba, which is 2 stops from Shinjuku. Then transfer
to Seibu Shinjuku Line.
If you take Express or Semi-express, you will get to Tanashi in about 30
minutes. You can walk to our church in just 1 minute from Tanashi station.
It will take 2 1/2 hours from Narita Airport to our church. This is the
quickest way to get here, but also the most expensive since Narita Express
is costly.
2. By
Train ( Keisei Dentetsu )
Take Keisei Dentetsu from Narita Airport to the center of Tokyo. This train
also has a connection with JR Yamanote Line.
Get off at Nishi-Nippori station and transfer to JR Yamanote Line. (Toward
Shinjuku way.)
Then get off at
Takadanobaba, which is the 13th stop from Nishi-Nippori station. Transfer to Seibu Shinjuku Line (Toward
Honkawagoe or Haijima way). If you take Express or Semi-express, you will
get to Tanashi in about
20 minutes. You can walk to our church in just 1 minute from Tanashi station.
3. By
Bus
This is the least complicated way to get to our church, even though it
takes time. There is a bus service which will take you to Tokorozawa station, which
is close to our sister church Calvary
Chapel Tokorozawa. Usually it takes 2 1/2 hours to get to Tokorozawa by bus, but since you’ll
be going through the center of Tokyo, it can take more time if the traffic
is bad. From Tokorozawa take Seibu Shinjuku Line, Express or Semi-express
bound for Shinjuku. In about 20 minutes (long before you get to Shinjuku),
you will get to Tanashi. You can walk to our church in just 1 minute from
Tanashi station.
